TENCENT Games Purchases UBISOFT Games

Tencent recently made a 5% stake in Ubisoft, and as a result of that agreement plans to launch some of its mobile games in China.

Although this may not be very exciting for us westerners initially, keep in mind that Tencent has released games around here. The best example of this is the Battlegrounds of PlayerUnknown , which began life as an exclusive Chinese but later released everywhere.

So, it may be a very good thing, but which Ubisoft games could we see on the phone? Well, it turns out that the priority is in titles that have potential multiplayer and esports. Oh, and RPGs too.

TENCENT HAS ACQUIRED A 5% STAKE IN UBISOFT AND WILL PUBLISH ITS GAMES ON THE MOBILE PHONE INITIALLY IN CHINA AS USUAL
An OFFICIAL spokesman for Tencent said:

“We are looking first for games in genres that have proved successful in China. So we’re starting to consider games with multiplayer elements and potential esports, and also games with RPG mechanics. “

As you read this, some particular games come to mind. We put our money right away in Rainbow Six: Siege and For Honor , but it also leaves the door open for the likes of The Division or Ghost Recon .

But still, there is huge potential for some exciting Ubisoft games to hit Android soon as Watch Dogs 2, Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed, all we can do is wait.
